Town of Dover Voters Encouraged to Absentee Vote for April 7 Election

[Town of Dover, Racine County WI] – Because of the COVID-19, voters in the Town of Dover are strongly urged to act now to vote absentee for the April 7th Spring Election and Presidential Preference Primary. Polls will be open in Dover on Election Day from 7am to 8pm, but voters are requested to absentee vote for this election. The municipality urges voters not to wait, due to possible delays in mail delivery. By law the last day to request an absentee ballot by mail is Thursday, April 2. The sooner you request a ballot through https://myvote.wi.gov the faster you will receive the ballot, please complete it immediately and mail it back so your vote does count! Your absentee ballot must be received in your clerk’s office/polling place by 8 p.m. on Election Day. Any ballots received after the polls close will not be counted. A postage paid return envelope is included with every ballot but there is also a black drop box located outside the Town Hall for our resident’s convenience. The first day to vote an absentee ballot in person at the clerk’s office is Monday, March 23, 2020 and the last day to vote an absentee ballot in the clerk’s office is Friday, April 3, 2020 . In person absentee voting is available Monday through Thursday 8a-4:30p and Friday, March 27th 8a-12noon. Friday, April 3, 2020 is the last day to absentee vote, the hours will be 8a-5pm. No in-person absentee voting or election related paperwork can be processed on the day before the election Monday, April 6, 2020.
