DESCRIPTION:PRESS RELEASE\nDover Water Patrol to Host a Bike Rodeo\nLocation: Dover Town Hall – 4110 South Beaumont Avenue Kansasville\, WI 53139\nDate: Sunday June 24\nTime: 10AM-2PM\nOn Sunday\, June 24\, 2018\, the Dover Water Patrol will be hosting a bike rodeo at the Town of Dover Town Hall\n(4110 South Beaumont Avenue Kansasville\, WI 53139). Officers Joshua Martinson and Justin Brogni will be\ninstructing bike safety and doing safety checks of bikes and helmets. Officers Martinson and Brogni were bike\npatrol officers for over 10 years each\, combining for over 20 years of bike patrol experience. Both have taught\nbike safety rodeos in the Milwaukee Public School system in the past. Officers Martinson and Brogni are both\nLaw Enforcement Bike Association (LEBA) certified.\nOfficer Martinson has also worked as a bike mechanic at Wheel and Sprocket in Hales Corners for the past 8\nyears. He will be using his bike stand and tools to do safety checks of bikes (brakes\, shifting\, tire pressure). No\nparts for bikes will be available but Officer Martinson will be advising participants if there are major issues and\nlet participants know what work\, if any\, needs to be done to make the bike safe.\nOfficer Brogni will be doing proper fitting of helmets and will go over the rules of safe bike riding. He will also\nreview the rules of the road\, including proper hand signals\, associated with safe bike riding.\nIf time and weather allows\, there will also be an obstacle course to show safe riding.\nThe target ages for this event are grades 1-8\, however high school students and adults may also bring their bikes\nby for a safety inspection.
